When the Wagoneer was introduced, all trim levels came equipped with a 5.7-liter V8 engine, supplying drivers with 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. This engine is still used for the entry-level Wagoneer. However, stepping up to the Series II trim or any trim thereafter, under the hood is a 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine. This engine is called Hurricane and puts out a hefty 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque while providing up to 15% better fuel efficiency compared to the standard V8 engine. Both Wagoneer engines come linked to a smooth shifting yet robust eight-speed automatic transmission powering the rear wheels. All Wagoneer trim levels, however, are eligible for 4x4 for better traction.

No matter which Wagoneer trim level you select, you can be confident that you're getting a wide array of standard features for plenty of style, comfort, safety, and convenience. The entry-level Wagoneer trim's exterior includes heated/power-adjustable side mirrors, remote start, LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, a power liftgate, LED taillights, and remote proximity keyless entry. Inside, you'll be treated to a fully-digital and customizable 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, Alpine premium audio with ten speakers, three-zone automatic climate control, eight seats, a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen, rear seat vents with separate controls, heated/cooled front seats, and navigation. The Wagoneer is also extraordinarily safe, offering a wide range of advance driver-assist technologies, including front and rear parking sensors, automatic emergency braking, blindspot monitoring, active lane management, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and more.

The Wagoneer is returning for 2023 with even more features than it was introduced with. The first new feature is the available Wagoneer L. This extends the Wagoneer's wheelbase by seven inches and the overall length by twelve inches. This added length makes way for 172 cubic feet of passenger volume and an additional 15 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the third row, bringing it to 44.2 cubic feet. Another new option is the Carbide Edition. Available for the Wagoneer Series II, the Carbide Edition package offers a commanding, bold road presence with a blacked-out look. Outside, the Wagoneer Carbide Edition features Gloss Black grille rings, headlight rings, door sill cladding, wheels, and roof rails. Meanwhile, Diamond Black covers the front/rear fascias, door flares, and grille. The all-black look continues into the cabin, with Global Black leather upholstery, a black suede headliner, Piano Black appointments, and Smoke accent stitching. The Carbide Edition's three-pane panoramic sunroof provides a beautiful contrast to the black interior with plenty of natural lighting.
