Hybrid Mode
The default mode, Hybrid, combines torque from both the 2.0L turbocharged engine and the electric motors. This combination provides maximum horsepower, instant torque, and the best acceleration. Electric power is consumed first.
ESave Mode
eSave Mode prioritizes the 2.0L engine. This saves the battery charge for later use. When power demand is low, the engine shuts off. It can also be reconfigured to increase the battery charge as well.
HOW FAR CAN YOU GO?
Regenerative Braking
This feature allows the battery to be charged when decelerating and braking. The Max Regeneration feature remaps the accelerator pedal to command more aggressive regen at low pedal positions. It allows you to slow the vehicle down without the brake pedal, but a complete stop always requires the brake pedal. It also stays selected until you turn it off.
Recharge
The battery can be fully recharged in approximately 2 hours using an available Level II charger (240-volt) or 12 hours using the included Level I charger (120-volt). With the ability to charge at home and work, you can enjoy the benefits of fully electric daily commutes.

What powers the Jeep Wrangler 4xe?
With the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, you get a premium hybrid vehicle that can go anywhere and do anything! Under the hood sits a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a couple of electric motor generators. This engine also pairs with a hybrid battery pack that you can charge at home or several charging stations around the country. You can find the battery pack underneath the rear seats. This entire setup generates about 22-miles of all-electric range, but once the battery has been fully depleted, the engine will immediately switch to gasoline power. The output of this engine is 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. You can get this engine on all four-door versions of the Wrangler!

Additional off-road features include a Rock-Trac 4x4 system, a two-speed transfer case with a 4:1 low-range gear ratio, Tru-Lok electric front and rear locking differentials, and 33-inch all-terrain tires.
